Polo Beach Club locationPolo Beach Club - The lodging where you will be staying is a single building. It rises a full 8 stories (one of the tallest oceanside buildings) and was recently renovated in 2007.

The Polo Beach Club is neighbors to the Fairmont Kea Lani, the Wailea Champions, and the Four Seasons, only it's on the ocean.

The Polo Beach Club is as exclusive and luxurious as it sounds. This is the high end of the condo spectrum, which for Maui, implies much without the need for it being said.

Polo Beach Club

The amenities do vary, but for the most part, it is first class all the way.

Exotic hardwoods, marble, granite, professionally decorated and original artworks. This is the kind of luxury you can enjoy.

It will be a long time before this property gets rated. It is almost pure word of mouth and need to know basis.

While the rates are competitive, it is not going to be for everyone. However, one night in a poorly managed condo unit will change one's budgeting perspectives.

Polo Beach Club

The Polo Beach Club has available to it all that Wailua has to offer. Championship golf courses, the port of Lahaina, water activities, and to your back, Haleakala.

In writing reviews for the many condominium rentals available all over the island of Maui, this one stands out.

Were you in the market to purchase one of the oceanside units, at the time of writing they are selling for 1.5 to 4 million.

And worth every penny.

The Polo Beach Club is luxury on Maui as it should be.

"Great Ocean Front Condo But Spendy!" :: We spent three nights at the Polo Beach Club with our two kids over Thanksgiving. I think we were in unit 7 on the ground floor, right side of the building. We had decent ocean views but best of all ground floor access to a huge grassy yard that the kids could play on that no one else seemed to be using. The condo had two bedrooms and two full baths. Very spacious and clean. Well stocked kitchen etc. At $450 a night it should be! It's on a great beach and shares it with the Kea Lani Hotel. Strangely enough even though the hotel was packed and their side of the beach was wall to wall people, they didn't stray down to our side of the beach and we had lots of room. The building has a medium size pool that no one seemed to be using. My kids really liked it. Nice BBQ area and lots of grassy areas for the kids to roam. It was clean and well kept. One thing to point out is we never saw a single bug during our stay. We've spent a lot of time on the island and have seen our share of geckos, cockroaches, spiders, ants etc. So it was kind of weird not to see ANY critters even if we left food out. Some people might think this is a good thing but it made me wonder what kind of pesticides they use there. They must spray A LOT! We usually rent private homes and like to have a lot of room to ourselves. We felt very comfortable at the Polo Beach Club and could see staying there again but only on the ground floor to have such easy access to the yard. On the right side of the building you face tall hedges so it feels very private. The BBQ area and pool are on the left side and those ground floor units wouldn't have the same feel.

"Polo Beach Club Heaven" :: We just returned from 5 days on Maui at the Polo Beach Club. The location is just fantastic. Just a quick drive to Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Gucci!! Anyway, the beach is steps away and faces west for beautiful sunsets every night. Everything we needed was in our spacious condo, including beach chairs and umbrella. We had breakfast in every morning which is great with kids and lunch if we were in the area. Two bathrooms, 2 bedrooms and a washer/dryer makes for an easy vacation. Our only discomfort was the master bed which had seen better days. The guest bedroom could have used a TV for the kids to watch before bed, but this is minor. We were exhausted every night. We really enjoyed being away form the busy Lahaina area or more crowded hotels, never more than 8 people around the pool. Easy access from the airport and all points. Would go back tomorrow if only we could fly 1st class.

"This Is The Maui You've Been Dreaming Of..." :: Our Polo Beach Club condo was on the 2nd floor corner with a drop-dead gorgeous view of the ocean with 2 perfect palm trees framing the semiprivate beach. The condo was comfortable and well stocked with cooking utensils and beach stuff (chairs, beach mats, pails, umbrellas). If I could improve one thing it would be to put a pillow cover on the mattresses... they were hard and a little uncomfortable. There are turtles out by the rocks in front of the condo complex...so don't forget to rent equipment from Maui Dive Shops at The Shops at Wailea. You can return the equipment to a different Maui Dive Shop without problem. The pool is inviting but hey--you're in Wailea, so get in the ocean!! Kea Lani Hotel next door offers a free outrigger experience at select times--it's wonderful so take advantage of it--they will take you to the turtle wash area to do a little snorkeling with the turtles. My son, age 20, has made the beach at Polo Beach Club his screensaver. He insists that if/when he returns to Maui, this is where he wants to be. One of the few times we are in total agreement.
