Just down the road is the areas best shopping center.

The Shops at Wailea. This upscale shopping center offers many typical shops, local boutiques and a very convenient general store that offers snacks, drinks, souvenirs and toiletries.

The entire resort are of Wailea is a collection of Maui's most luxurious resorts.

Also in the area are several wonderful beaches including Polo at the Fairmont Kealani, Wailea at the Grand Wailea as well as Ulua and Mokapu beaches.

All are sunny sandy with clear sparkling water and gorgeous views of Molokini and Kahoolawe.

The Wailea resort also offers everything from sushi to fine dining.

Spago, at the Four Seasons offers upscale dining, Kai Sushi at the Shops at Wailea offers friendly Izakaya dining, Nick's Fishmarket at the Fairmont Kealani has a fabulous menu and al fresco seating.

Celebrated island chef Bev Gannon has a new culinary tour de force at the Wailea Golf Course clubhouse called Gannon's as well as her more casual restaurant at the Wailea Tennis Club complex called simply, Joe's Bar and Grill.

The Palms at Wailea is a wonderful well planned non-smoking property with manicured lawns and tropical landscaping.

There resort has complimentary guest parking and complimentary wireless internet access in the lobby and on the pool deck.

The resort has just one pool and just one whirlpool spa.

The pool deck is attractive and inviting, typical of condominium resorts on the island.

Condominiums are arranged in two story clusters that maximize on privacy and comfort.

There are only one and two bedroom units that come in a choice of garden, garden deluxe or ocean view vistas.

All units are larger than comparable units in the area.

One bedrooms have 1022 square feet and the two bedroom units have anywhere from 1194-1299 square feet.

All units are airy, comfortable and spacious with sunken living rooms, enormous lanais and full kitchens.

Décor is simple and functional featuring bright topical fabrics and bamboo furnishings.

All units come with air-conditioning in the master bedroom only, ceiling fans in each room, daily maid service, fully equipped kitchens that include dishwasher, stovetop, oven, microwave, refrigerator, coffeemaker, cookware and tableware.

Each unit also includes a washer and dryer, cable TV and DVD player, iron and ironing board, hairdryer.

The one bedroom units can accommodate a maximum of four persons and includes one queen bed and one queen sofa sleeper in the living area.

The two bedroom units allow a maximum of six persons and include one king bed or one queen bed and two twin beds, or one queen bed and one queen sofa bed in the living area.

The resort requires a two night minimum and has no second floor elevator access.

Barbecue grills are available at an additional daily cost and so are additional air-conditioning units.

Overall this property is a good choice for large families and those who prefer more privacy that a full service resort as well as those on an extended Maui stay.
