Napili Kai locationNapili Kai - Make no mistakes about the Napili Kai, it is old school old Hawaii.

This means that visitors can expect quality accommodations but without artificial insulation from unreal aspirations of perfection.

Sometimes a beautiful woman is just a beautiful woman and not a supermodel.

Thus the Napili Kai has moved out of her immature phase into a comfortable middle aged sense of accomplishment.

If this makes no sense to you now, young traveler, someday it will.

Napili Kai

Already a venerable 50-ish years into its lifespan, the low-rise resort reclines into the green cushion of foliage along one end of legendary Napili Bay.

It offers great ocean views. Napili Kai and Napili Bay is sought out specifically by parents traveling with children for its children-friendly environment, sheltered clear waters, and free children's programs.

As you swim, you will feel suspended as you look through the 20 foot deep waters.

The resort is well away from traffic and a rental car is recommended.

There are no resort fees. Parking is free, towels, chairs, coolers, swim gear, the 18 hole putting green, exercise room, internet access, am coffee, lemonade and in room pineapple are all free.

Napili Kai

As an unfortunate result of its generosity, the resort has lost a small fortune in equipment to guests helping themselves and has been forced to issue cards that are used as tokens for the use of its equipment.

Some guests have complained about this form of property control, but we feel it is a fair and straightforward way for the guests to get what they need to use, and the resort to keep what they have.

The Sea House Restaurant is not only on the premises, it is on the beach. Enjoy the ocean views and dine under the stars!

Wednesday evenings enjoy the "Masters of the Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar" concert series, which produced a CD nominated for a Grammy.

The Napili Kai Foundation hula dance show is on Tuesday evenings at the Aloha Pavilion.

Random Reviews on the Napili Kai powered by Trip Advisor™...

"Don't Pass This One Up " :: Just returned from another fantastic stay in Maui. This time at the Napili Kai. The grounds and location can not be beat. The staff is friendly, welcoming. The hotel has such a great story of their almost 50 years there. The buildings are low rise, Hawaiian style... they decor has be upgraded.

Putting parties, juices and coffee brought to beachside cabana everyday, gas BBQ's to use with a view of the ocean, free parking, no resort fee, on fantastic beach, No need for paying $100 a day special lounge chair, or high rise building to walk from.... this place is worth your business. (This "free" advise comes from someone in the business, who loves Hawaii. Don't waste your vacation money by misleading ads online... ask a local travel agent who has been there!).

"The Most Perfect Place On Maui" :: I could not say enough great things about this place. This was our 7th trip to Napili Kai. And still we would not think of staying at another resort on Maui. The location just can not be beat. Yes, Those big hotels with the big pools are very impressive, but I'm not interested in walking a 1/2 mile to the beach every morning to have to fight for a chair. Or to open my window to hear the sound of cars.

At Napili Kai we always stay in a beach front room. We open the large slider door & walk less than 20 paces to put our feet in the sand. They have tons of chairs to use on the beach. Large open lawns to sit and read a book or play a lawn game. And the BEST OCEAN VIEWS!

The ground keepers keep the landscaping looking very nice. They have a 18 hole putting green that my husband really enjoys. The staff is kind, informative and very friendly with the kids. The maid service is very nice. In fact we've had the same maid for the past 7 years. Viola your great!!!

The Sea House is right on the beach. We like the breakfast and lunches that seem to be pretty reasonable in price. Dinner is a bit pricey and a limited selection. I suggest going to the Pineapple Grill for dinner on the Kapalua golf course.

Oh yes. Did I mention that all the parking, towels, chairs, coolers, swim masks, putting green, morning coffee, tea, lemonade & pineapple are all FREE! How great is that?

"Napili Kai No Ka Oi " :: I wont stay any place else!! Excellent, clean, fun and beautiful beach. The Sea House restaurant is great! A little pricey but, the food is scrumptious. Go see the Kiki show on Tue. night. Very cute show and the kids were great!

I'll tell ya....it's better than the ocean views and about a 10 second walk to the water. In fact they are the best rooms in that section on the whole place if you are a serious beach goer.

The snorkeling is really good. Need more sea life there but, it's a fun snorkel. I'm a scuba diver so I guess I'm spoiled. Oh and about bugs there.......when you walk into the lobby, it's all open in there. The doors never shut. Of course bugs are going to walk in. It's Maui!! Can't get around that in any resort unless they bug bomb every week. Every place I've stayed on Maui has an assortment of bug critters. I had more roaches in my rental car than at Napili Kai. Actually I saw no roaches at Napili!

I totally recommend Napili Kai Beach Resort. I will continue to stay there. It's quiet, romantic and the sunsets are the BEST on Maui with the view of Molokai' and Lanai.'
