Maui Sunset locationMaui Sunset - is located on 5 acres of ocean front Kihei in the middle of golf country.

There are two high rise units and a large sixty foot pool between.

The condos are distinguised from others in the area for having both ocean and mountain views in all units.

Also a huge plus, a common complaint among condos is that of transmitted sound. There is sound abatement materials in all common walls, ceilings and floors of the Maui Sunsest.

Noise is NOT an issue.

Maui Sunset

The Maui Sunset has a large 34 acre fishpond out front.

The Hawaiian peoples would build an enclosed area for fish of stacked stone walls.

Seawater could come and go through the holes in the rock, keeping the water fresh for the trapped fish to stay healthy in.

When they were ready to have dinner, it was easy to catch the fresh fish trapped within.

It was both the fast food and the seafood market of its day.

Maui Sunset

Kihei is noted for its dry, sunny climate, which is similar to the dryer parts of Arizona.

Kihei is a center for windsurfing, the trade winds will push a surfer along all day.

The Maui Sunset is located only 12 miles from Lihue airport, Maui's main landing strip.

The condo is an excellent value for family travel. It has a full kitchen and is comfortably furnished.

The ammenities make this condo a great value for the dollar.

"Nice Place" :: Stayed at Maui Sunset in April 2002. Nicely maintained grounds, large lawn, good pool, nice view, community feel, easy to connect with other families, clean, privately owned condo's rented through various agencies, most are good, some better than others, one, two and three bedrooms. Alot of repeat customers, we met some families that have been coming back annually for over ten years, we are going back for the second time in April 2003. Some permanent residents. I'd give it a 3.5 because of the above attributes. It's not even close to the Fairmont 'high end' (which is 3 times the cost) and the beach is not that great out front (the good Kamaole and Wailea beaches are less than a 10 minute drive away). But for someone with kids looking for a great getaway and value in a very nice friendly setting the Maui Sunset was perfect for us.

"Good Value" :: Just got back from a week at Maui Sunset April 3, 2004. Mostly agree with the other comments- great value, convenient location, great pool, beautiful well-kept grounds. Our condo, however, (1bd/2bath POV) was not as clean as one would like, getting a little old and worn out in places, and the bathrooms were small. After glancing at some surrounding units being cleaned, we determined that some units are in better shape than others. Also, be sure to get a condo that is away from both the stairway and elevator (noise). The location is great, with markets, beach gear rental locations, and fairly inexpenisve restaurants close by. For beaches as noted, one must drive to another location as the beach in front of the complex and in that area of Kihei is not good for swimming or sunbathing. Would definitely consider staying here again.

"What A Beautiful Condo :: What a great bargin! My family and I stayed in room 309 for 1 week in March of 2005 and loved it. The condo was re-decorated beautifully and had everything we needed to keep us comfortable. The grounds were kept very nice and the pool and jacuzzi were clean and nice and warm. This condo was close to the beach and had pool side service for any kind of reservations you would need while you were in Maui. Me and my family would definitely stay at the Maui Sunset again.
