Maui Seaside room Webmasters Note: We stayed in this hotel for the first night after our arrival on Maui. For this purpose, and this purpose only, was it a good choice.

We knew we would be exhausted and without a sense of distance and time, so we chose this as an inexpensive place by the airport.

If you are flying in, or flying out early, this is a good idea. Get up early, quick drive to Lihue, you're off. Otherwise, it is really not a vacation-long place to stay.

The hotel sites off a busy street, across from a mall in a retail/residential area.

If you want nearby Paia, try the Paia Inn Hotel or the Maui Beachcomber cottage.

Random Reviews on the Maui Seaside powered by Trip Advisor™...

"What Do You Want?" :: This hotel is not in a very good neighborhood, it is surrounded by heavy wrought iron and has bars on the lower windows. Pool side rooms are the only ones with views and they are very small. If you're coming to stay on the beach and have drinks brought to you, this definitely is not the place. If you need a place to stay one night to catch an early flight the next morning, then you might consider Maui Seaside. I'm 61 and my wife and I were probably among the youngest that stayed here. Anyone under 40 was on a Harley! We stayed one night because we were booked out of Maui the next morning, we returned from the Big Island in the evening and did not want to drive back to Kaanapali beach.

"My Opinion" :: There are many reasons why we stayed in this hotel. The main one was because we had spent so much money on other hotels that we wanted to save a few dollars here and the other was that we were leaving the island the next morning and wanted to be close to the airport. Well, we were close to the airport.... all night we were close to the airport. And close to the harley motorcycles and the busy street, etc. In defense of the hotel it was clean. Very dated, but clean. We didn't really see any hotels in the area that would have been better. Since we needed to make reservations site unseen the Seaside was about average. Hawaii is expensive! I just had a hard time paying a high rate for so little. If you are going to Hawaii, don't skimp. Pay the extras $60-$80 and get something nice.

Webmaster's note; I concur wholeheartedly.

"Room With 3 Beds And A Crib" :: My husband and my three children recently returned from Maui after attending a wedding and we were anxious to relax and have the baby take a nap. We were really pleased to have rooms with 3 separate beds and a moderately sized crib. The baby was able to sleep while the older children watched the waves and played in the well-kept lawn. The hotel is conveniently located to the airport, shopping centers, starbucks coffee, and other places of interest. The Coconut Grill Restaurant located at the hotel was excellent and child-friendly.
