Maui Beach Hotel locationMaui Beach Hotel - The Maui Beach Hotel is one of the closest hotels to the Kahului Airport and is perfect for an overnight stay.

Do stay here for your first night on Maui, you will be tired and grabbing the nearest bed is a good idea. Do not stay at the Maui Beach Hotel for the duration of your visit to Maui.

It is located right on the highway, offers budget accommodations and is conveniently located to the main business districts of Kahului and Wailuku ... a great jumping off spot to tour both sides of the island and stock up on travel supplies.

Maui Beach Hotel

This is an old hotel so check with them about their ongoing renovations when you book your stay here.

Some early check in allowed and they allow a "quick check out" slot at the front desk to drop your keys in for your convenience.

The Maui Beach offers free parking, free internet service and a coin Laundromat.

There isn't any beach access, so if you want to get wet, swim in the pool as this hotel is close to the harbor where the cruise ships dock.

The restaurant and bar food are excellent but if you want morning coffee, you'll need to get it at nearby shop.

The rooms are more like those of a motel than a hotel and have a college "dorm room" feel to it.

They are clean, small and comfortable with modest and spartan decor and accommodations.

They have a refrigerator and cable TV and some of them have partial renovations.

The view from your room will look onto the hotel's interior courtyard and onto the Kahului Bay.

There is plenty of good food available within walking distance of the hotel.

The hotel staff is friendly and full of smiles but the service seems to vary on what they are capable of doing while you are there.

If you have trouble with your car rental, the bell desk clerk might be nice enough to offer to drive you to the airport to get the problem fixed. If you request extra towels, you'll probably get them in 5 minutes.

Although more renovations are needed, this hotel attracts tourists interested in simplicity, travel convenience, a short stay and a reasonable price.

"Not A Bad Hotel For The Price" :: The Maui Beach Motel does not boast white sandy beaches, but they do have a lovely large green courtyard area with a big pool and oceanfront view. Great spot to kick back and relax before or after your days outing. The rooms are your standard motel fare, as is the restaurant and bar. Clean and sufficient for travelers to Maui who aren't going to spend a lot of time in their rooms. The best part about this motel is it's location and price. Within walking distance (or a very short drive) of shops, restaurants and a cinema, this motel is located minutes from the airport and is so central on the island that everything is within a short one hour drive or less! (with the exception of Hana). We got a garden level room for $70/night. For the price and location you can't beat this motel if you are budget minded.

"Fine If You Need A Night At An Inexpensive Room Close To The Airport" :: This is an old hotel with very small but clean rooms. It is not fancy, and if you are not picky, it's fine for a night. It was quiet and the beds/linens were fine. I think one of the travel books stated it best...something like "fine for a night, but you probably don't want to spend your vacation here."
