leinaala locationThe Leinaala - is directly across from the Pacific, only separated from the water by beautiful Waipuilani Park.

The Waipuilani Park has no lifeguards, so be aware of that, but offers a wide grassy area to relax in; in addition to the beach of course.

Rest rooms are available in the park.

Leinaala Maui

We like the Leinaala for its home spun qualities.

At only 24 units, it is one of the smallest condominium complexes that rents on Maui.

The building is 4 stories tall, 6 units per floor.

ALL units face the ocean; there is no fighting for space in a condo complex of this small size.

The pool is between the condos and the ocean, dug into a large lush lawn.

Leinaala

The kitchens are fully equipped but not provisioned, stores are a few minutes away and nearby.

In the 2 bedroom units, the bedrooms are at either end of the units for additional privacy.

There is a laundry facility on the premesis.

The Leinaala is one of the most expensive buildings to buy a condo in. And one of the most sought after.

Units tend to book well in advance, so travelers should leave plenty of time for advance reservations.

"Leinaala Was Awesome" :: First of all, Maui is such a beautiful place. Our vacation was even better since we stayed at Leinaala. It is a small complex but the service and view was awesome. We rented a 1 bdrm condo on the ground floor. Right outside our lanai is a park with beautiful grounds with an oceanfront view. Every morning we would have breakfast in our lanai and watch the sunrise. In the afternoon, we would lounge outside and watch the sunset...the Maui sunset is so amazing...In addition, the value was great. It had a full kitchen, so we saved some money on food by cooking. Also, the manager was very nice and helpful. Leinaala is a great location...close to shops and restaurants. As far as the beach, the ocean is right outside your lanai...but that area is not too clean...there's a bit of seaweed...it's nice to go for a walk...but if you want a great beach location...drive a little bit to Wailea and check out Oneloa "Big Beach", or Ulua beach. In Kihei definitely check out the Kamaole Beach Parks. All in all, I would definitely recommend Leinaala. For the amount you pay for, you get great service and a wonderful view.

"Relaxing, clean, quiet complex-all units are oceanfront" :: We first went to Leinaala back in 1985 and have gone back several times over the years. What we have always liked is that all the 24 units overlook the ocean. There is a swimming pool and two tennis courts. All the units are kept very clean and comfortable. It is a quiet complex; always made us feel so relaxed. We were finally able to purchase a unit---not often do they go on the market. I think once you start going to Leinaala, you will not stop.

"Will Stay Here Again" :: We chose this condo based on the reviews from TripAdvisor. So we had some ideas of what to expect, and it indeed lived up to our expectation: roomy, homey, and clean, with a great view. Everything you could think of was thoughtfully provided, from beach chairs to a full rack of spices! We ended up cooking most of our meals during our stay, not just to save money, but also hated to waste such a well-equipped kitchen. Besides, nothing beat the joy of watching the beautiful sunset while enjoying our dinner on the patio. Our unit had an additional AC in the bedroom which was extra nice. The only thing that needed some work was the bathroom which had a malfunctioning shower head. Other than that, we had nothing but praise for this "home away from home". And definitely would like to stay here next time we visit Maui.
