"Great Location"
:: Kihei has grown to be a busy, bustling town on Maui,
full of condo rentals. Most are not oceanside, but Kihei
Surfside is, and what a view! They have wonderful public
space. Nice lawn, great pool, and good outdoor grill.
A very nice beach is a 2 minute walk. Units can vary,
but most are acceptable. A lot of space at a very reasonable
rate. The 2 bedroom, 2 bath ones are great for families
and 2 couples, and are on the ends of the building.
No air conditioning, but if the trade winds are blowing,
you don't need it. Overall, a great value for an oceanside
condo in Maui.
"Beyond Paradise In
Kihei" :: We have stayed at the Four Seasons
and The Ritz, but there is nothing like the cool breezes
and tropical sunsets you get at the Kihei Surfside.
Yes, you will have to cook for yourself and there is
no rooms service, but that is more than made up for
with the best location, beach and setting in the world.
If you want a clean, friendly, fun, place to stay with
the best that Maui has to offer...this is it.
"Reasonable Gem"
:: The Kihei Surfside had a beautiful ocean front, dining
area, porch, and living room. The extra 1/2 bath was
a bonus to get up and out early. We had no problem with
noise, although the birds did wake us up every morning
like an alarm clock. We are early risers so it was not
a problem. Lack of air conditioning was not a problem,
either, as the trade winds blow through each late after
noon. The unit was clean, well furnished, and had many
extras(beach mats, extra towels, beach umbrella etc.).
The grounds are meticulously maintained. There is a
beautiful beach next door with excellent snorkeling.
Ample free parking. The location was central to exploring
all of Maui. Many good eateries nearby. The beach walk
in front of the nearby resorts is a great sunset experience.
The owners provide a very helpful list of things to
do. We could not have been more pleased for such a reasonable
rate.
