Kihei Garden Estates - Built in 1979, these condos have had enough time to generate some repeat customers.

There has also been some decrease in quality in various units, so book only through a management company (such as here).

The beach along this part of the coast is not swim-able. Some places where Maui meets the ocean there is a steeper drop off and sandy beaches cannot form.

You will have plenty of beach access as the largest and best beaches in the area are all public.

The Kihei Garden Estates are 1/4 mile from the ocean, but cost commensurably less for that.

Restaurants are nearby, and the units are 1 block from the Azeka Mall.

"Great Family Vacation" :: My wife and I and our two children aged 8 and 10 recently stayed at Kihei Garden Estates for a week and we loved it. Our unit had a partial ocean view and I loved sitting on the lanai watching the boats shuttle between Maalea Harbor and Molokini. Our children met other children and played in the pool everyday. We could walk to many different restaurants and shops. We had a barbecue party at the pool one night and made several new friends from US and from Japan. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit. I think it is a great place for families and for singles who want to relax rather than party.

"Great location, beautiful remodel, quiet tropical setting" :: My husband and I just returned from our annual trip to Hawaii, and we had a great experience staying at the Kihei Garden Estates. The location was steps from a nice, quiet beach that was perfect for watching the beautiful sunsets drop between the islands of Lanai and Molokai. The grounds of the complex was immaculately groomed, and parking was always very easy -- right in front of our unit. My favorite part was sitting on the lanai in the morning eating papaya, feeling the trade winds and breezes, while smelling the plumeria tree growing next to us, and simultaneously staring at the huge mango tree with hundreds of mangoes!! Alas, they were not yet ripe when we were there, but next year, we will plan to be there when they are ripe! :)

"Annual Stays" :: Kihei Garden Estates is the place we stay every year and we like the location of this property in relation to the best beaches and the airport [for convenience sake]. We like keeping it simple and by being able to park right by our front door of the condo, it sure makes us feel like home!
