Random Reviews on the Kauhale Makai powered by Trip

"Great Deal! Great
Location" :: Very good accommodations. Many,
many room amenities made it feel like home - coffee
maker, full flatware set - even scissors! Not sure if
these were provided by Kauhale Makai or by the last
guest. Very good (but not excellent) ocean view and
view of Mt. Haleakala. Stayed in a very good 2-room
"condo". Floors could have been cleaner and King size
bed (made from 2 single beds with a foam piece that
joined them) was terrible!Overall a very good value
and a very good location to travel to all places on
Maui!
"What A Great Deal!"
:: Before arriving to The Village By The Sea, I was
a little skeptical. I had read a couple of bad reviews.
But, When my boyfriend and I arrived, I was pleasantly
surprised. Luckily we did have an ocean view. We had
been forewarned that many people pay for an ocean view
and do not get a good one. If that isn't a huge factor,
than you would probably be happy with any one of the
condos they have. The decor was new, and it looked great!
I liked the fact that it wasn't next to all of the big
resorts (like Lahaina). I was definitely very happy
with the condo.
"Hawaiian Paradise"
:: We stayed at "Village By The Sea" a few years ago,
and I'm just getting around to reviewing it now! Honestly,
I forgot the name of the place...but not because it
was forgetful. It was probably the best extended vacation
I've ever been on, and Kauhale Makai was a big reason
why. I wish I could remember what room number we were
in, but unfortunately I can't; I do know we were on
the top floor though. The pool and hot tub were fun,
we used the hot tub more than the pool, but it seemed
to be a good "meeting place" for other couples that
were staying there. There's a putting green for anyone
who's interested in golf...we had a couple of drinks
and played around a little bit, but neither one of us
was particularly interested in golf. There were some
grills in the courtyard area, and we enjoyed at least
one party that happened to be going on when we were
walking through...
