Kahana Sunset locationKahana Sunset - This condo complex is located right on the water, and since the public access is somewhat limited, it is basically a private beach for those 79 condo units. It occupies 5 acres.

This is a great, lesser known quiet condo, without the thundering crowds. The Kahana Sunset enjoys an unhurried pace, and is a favorite of seniors.

The Kahana Sunset also boasts another odd statistic, a high number of guests that buy units!

There is on-site check in, similar to that you would find in a hotel.

Parking and high speed internet are both free, both of which are favorite tools for resorts to pad up their costs.

There is a 60' heated pool with childrens pool. A weekly maid service is available.

The units come with fully equipped kitchens and washer dryers.

Located on Keone Nui Bay.

Kahana Sunset

The bay is shielded from big swells by a nearby reef.

It is not so sheltered from wind-driven waves, but it still is a good place to snorkel.

The beach sand is white, and is very soft underfoot.

The bay is large enough to support a large extended family of sea turtles (protected, never touch or approach), who are familiar neighbors.

It is located near the same ammenities as the larger more expensive resorts. You will find nearby world championship golf, tennis, shopping and nightlife.

"Hidden Gem...Doesn't Get Any Better In Hawaii" :: Wow - Kahana Sunset made our honeymoon. We had booked the entire week at Kapalua Bay Hotel (we wanted to splurge) and after 2 days at the hotel we decided we wanted something more "intimate" and "secluded". We found Kahana Sunset and fell in love. The woman at the front desk was very helpful. Because of our last minute change, they only had a 2 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath avaiable. We went and looked at the condo and booked it right then and there. The condo was oceanfront...and when I say oceanfront, I mean 10 steps away from the complex's secluded beautiful beach. The beach was amazing!!! We stayed in F7. A bit outdated, but very nice nontheless. We loved eating dinner on the lanai, using the kitchen and BBQing (very popular with all the guests which was really fun!). Each kitchen has a washer and dryer and full kitchen - nice to have breakfast and lunch so you don't have to eat every meal out! Parking was right out front the door. I'd highly recommend Kahana Sunset to anyone wanting an intimate Hawaiian vacation. The big resorts are nice...but too crowded!

"An Amazing Vacation With Our Family" :: I went to Maui with my Mom, Dad, Husband and my 6 month old baby girl at the end of January and stayed for 2 wonderful weeks (we extended our stay!!). We stayed in a condo at the Kahana Sunset in building D. The condo was beautifully renovated and overlooked the pool, the beautiful grounds and amazing private beach. We all had such a good time together as a family. My parents really enjoyed their time with their grandbaby. Each morning they would feed her and then take her down to the beach to watch the turtles and the whales together. We enjoyed the beach at Kahana and though we went on a few day trips in Maui we spent most of our time at the beach right in front of our condo. We enjoyed our breakfast and suppers on the lanai overlooking the beach, watching the whales jumping, the sunsets and spending our time together. We would definately go back and stay at Kahana Sunset and would recommend it to anyone.

"Paradise in Paradise" :: We so needed a relaxing vacation. Staying at Kahana Sunset allowed us to do just that. We spent most of our 9 day stay on the lanai enjoying the amazing ocean view. There was no AC but we were still comfortable. The unit was very nice but the view was outstanding. The grounds were beautifully maintained. There are five new gas grills and there usually was not a wait. We saw sea turtles every day. The sand beach was wonderful. After a day of sightseeing, we anxiously looked forward to getting "home" to Kahana Sunset.
