maui seaside locationDays Inn - The rooms are small, yes, small. Staying in the Days Inn Maui has been likened to staying in an RV.

On islands, things tend to be smaller to conserve precious space.

That is the case with this Days Inn.

If you don't need a spacious room, then the location is excelllent.

The hotel is located right on the beach in Kihei.

Days Inn View

The Days Inn Maui seems to be more like an inn, and was not designed nor developed as a typical western hotel.

My guess, based upon the size of the rooms, is that this was once a hotel catering to an Asian clientele.

Asian accommodations tend to make the most of the exsting land area, and their clientele is more adept to living in less space at home, especially in urban areas.

No architect in the world would design small rooms for westerners, especially mainland Americans!

This is a clean and comfortable place to stay if you are on a budget.

Days Inn FrontThis would be a great place for a couple to place their wedding party before the ceremony.

It has a great location centrally in Kihei along the coast, and is very budget minded.

There is a good restaurant on the premesis, Sarento's On The Beach which serves fine Italian cuisine for parties up to 18.

Sarento's boasts no less than 6 chefs (including a pastry chef) who wear different hats and have varying specialties.

No vacation would be complete without a fine Italian or French meal, and you have one of the best right on the grounds.

Dinner Hours: Daily 5:30pm - 10pm :: Lounge Hours: Daily 5pm - 12am.

Near championship golf, tennis, and great water activities. Near Lahaina for cruises and Molokini.

Random Reviews on the Days Inn Maui powered by Trip Advisor™...

"Small Rooms, But Free WIFI In The Room And Close To The Beach" :: I was rushed and looking for some last minute accommodation close to the beach with free wifi in the room and this ended up being it. I stayed for 4 nights when Hurricane Felicia was around, lucky it fizzled out as I would not liked to have stayed inside all day. The rooms are small and had no fullsize bathtub. The bed was comfortable though. Although close to the beach, only a couple of rooms have an actual ocean view. The beach is only 50 to 100m away and it is a very nice section of beach. "Saretos on the beach" restaurant shares parking with the oceanfront inn and it is right on the beach but a bit out of my pricerange. For cheaper food options you need to be keen for a walk or have a car to get to the other shops and restaurants up South Kihei road (about a mile I think).

"Exactly What We Wanted" :: The rooms are small, but our was very clean and well maintained. We were literally a hundred steps from Keawakapu Beach. That made it easy to just go out an do a few laps on the boogie board at any time. The MOI has become a Days Inn property instead of Best Western and the management seems intent on making upgrades and keeping things looking great and keeping customers happy. The comparably priced hotel rooms at the Mana Kai next door paled in comparison. The condo units at the Mana Kai cost nearly twice as much. The two operative words for MOI are value and location.

"Fabulous and affordable accomodation right on the beach" :: We stayed at the Days Inn Maui for 4 nights and had a very positive experience. The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, A/C worked well and TV was nice too. The main benefit to staying at this hotel is walking out your door and onto the gorgeous beach with fabulous snorkeling, etc. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful as well. We'll be back again next year!
