Aston Maui Banyan locationAston Maui Banyan -A banyan tree is one of nature's artworks, and a masterpiece at that.

A single tree puts out massive horizontal branches, each of those as large as other tree's trunks.

A Maui banyan can cover a quarter acre of land of itself.

It's stately, it's comforting, it's awsome and it's beautiful. If it could be an animal, it would be a whale.

Aston Maui Banyan

The Maui Banyan has elevators, and not all condos do. This helps in that the structures are either 2, 4 or 5 stories tall and are far more friendly on the knees.

Parking is both on site and complimentary. Other ammenities will nickel and dime visitors to death, and the surprise parking fee is among their favorite weapons.

Located near the famous Kamaole Beach II, one of the best beaches on the best island in the world.

It is only a 5-minute drive to Wailea, where you will find upscale shopping, award-winning golf, fine dining, and luxurious spas.

Aston Maui Banyan

The Maui Banyan condominums were built in 1991 and are relatively young as Kihei buildings go.

There are two jacuzzis, a pool, and all rooms are air conditioned. Amazingly, not every condo in Kihei has air conditioning!

You will enjoy warm, dry days and balmy nights with gentle winds in this part of Kihei. The tradewinds blow almost constantly keeping everything fresh, green and alive.

To the front of your building is the ocean. Behind you, mighty Haleakala strains heavenward.

In between are immaculately manicured tropical grounds. It is amazing on this island how many things are in bloom at one time.

The Maui Banyan is an excellent choice for travelers seeking a mid range facility. It will be clean and reasonably priced.

"Enjoyed Our Stay" :: My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights during our honeymoon in October 2003. We were very happy with our condo, and would definitely stay here again. The weather in Kihei was great, and the city is centrally located on the west side of the island, so we were pretty close to everything we wanted to do. The condo was comfortable and clean, the grounds were nicely kept. Service at the Banyon was always helpful. We really enjoyed Kamaole II, which is the beach just across the street. Nice sand, great place to watch the sunset, and surprisingly good snorkeling near the rocks (they are to the left as you face the water).

"Great Condo!" :: We had an excellent vacation at the maui banyan. We stayed in a two bedroom and the condo was nicely decorated and clean. We were there for 9 days and I would definately stay there again. The location is really convenient to most everything and the Kamole beaches are literally right across the street. Our family had two adults and two teenagers and the condo was spacious enough so we never felt cramped. Since we were staying for so long I asked the front desk staff to see the condo before we checked in just to be sure. I was not disappointed! We stayed there the first week of October which was another reason the condo was so reasonably priced.

"Excellent Midrange Condo" :: We stayed in a 1-bedroom 2-bathroom condo at the Maui Banyan for 12 nights in November. I'll start with a few comments about the Banyon itself. The site is long and narrow, so it feels a bit constricted and the grounds certainly aren't expansive. There are two pools which, while small, were rarely crowded because most people seem to be out enjoying activities around Maui. There are five Weber BBQ's at each of the pools - they are cleaned so well each day that we thought they were brand new – a great spot to meet and talk to other vacationers. The staff are friendly and helpful, there is a book exchange in a utility area beside the reception and wireless internet is free. The location is excellent - Kamaole II beach is right across the street, and several good restaurants are in easy walking distance (Freds, Da Kitchen, East China Sea, Cafe O Lei). Now, a bit about the units. The Banyon is an older development (late 1980's?) and, because the condos are privately owned, there is a wide range in quality - some having been recently renovated, and others with the original decorations and furniture. We were placed in one of the former for our first night - perfectly acceptable, but tired and run down. For the rest of our stay, we were moved to a recently renovated unit that had just been added to the rental pool. This condo is awesome, with walls painted in pastels, a large flat screen TV, granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and rain rock shower stalls. The owners had removed the door between the living room and bedroom, creating an open, flowing space, and had enlarged the balcony on the bedroom side, making it much more useable than the balconies on the other units. All in all, an excellent condo.
