Alii Kai - The Alii Kai is an older condominium complex that is great for a laid back vacation.

The 128 units are bunched in groups of six per building, and vacationers are mixed in with full-time residents.

You will be staying, in a very real sense, in quiet neighborhood.

The Alii Kai is across the street from Kamaole Beach Park One, just south of the intersection of South Kihei Road and Alanui Ke Alii Road on South Kihei Road.

Being older, the units tend to be not so handicapped friendly, so if you have mobility issues, there will be stairs.

Parking is also a little ways from your unit, so there will be walking.

Units are in expensive to rent, so there will be savings.

Units have been recently renovated

The complex is next to an undeveloped property, so there is a nice buffer from the surrounding environs.

The Dolphin Plaza and shopping is within walking distance.

Unit has pool, hot tub, and offers internet access in room.

Reviews for this property have been mixed, and with almost all condo complexes facing mixed reviews, it is from people that rent from owners directly and then wonder why they get a substandard rental.

"Worth Every Cent" :: I ventured to Maui with my galpal two February's in a row. It was great. Our unit in the Alii Kai was on the oceanside, so breakfast on the lanai looking out at the ocean was great. What more can ya ask for? It was also the last building which was fine because no noise from the traffic and not much of a walk from the beach either. The condo had all the amenities. Even had a few boogieboards which we eventually found under the spare bed. It was a nice little home away from home. It definitely helps to rent from people you know or have acquaintances with because then you know they have standards about upkeep etc. It was definitely glorious to be there as always!

"Loved The Place And The View" :: This was a mother & daughter trip, 3 moms & 3 daughters. We had an excellent time. The pool & hot tub was clean & inviting. The room, D402 had a great view, we watched the whales from our balcony. There was everything we needed to make a meal, but a vegetable peeler. Not bad. We had the greatest vacation, being within walking distance for shopping, eating out, going to the beach. We all would definitely recommend this condo.

"It Was Pretty Good!" :: I stayed at this condo for 8 nights and most of my wedding party stayed as well. The room was fine, except the air conditioning didn't work all that well. The pool was very small and wasn't welcoming to children, (lots of rules)it seemed it was more for old people to read their books. It was a bit run down and there was bad flood in some of the rooms while we where there. The rooms size was good as was the location. I would probably stay again as it was very reasonable priced.
